Definition of Absence from Work
Definition:Refers to a person who worked less than the usual hours, worked zero hours in a week,or who had an extended work absence, and the reason for the absence.

Rule for Calling in Absent
- Need 1 hour off from work, give a day notice.
- Need a whole day off from work, ask one week in advance.
- Need a week off from work, ask 1 month in advance.

- Tell your supervisor you need time off as soon as you know
- If you wait you may not get an approval for the time off
