Future Supply Chain (FSC) has tied up with fashion retailer Benetton India to open distribution centre of the latter in Jhajjar in Haryana, the company said in a statement. The distribution centre is spread across 1,12,000 sq.ft and is equipped with shelving storage, advanced material handling equipment, dock levelers, packaging machines and a full back-up generator, claims FSC. The warehouse has the capacity to handle an inventory volume of over 4 million and more than 1,00,000 SKUs, as well as various value-added services like product kitting, customized packaging and returns management, it said. “We are confident that the new facility at Koka will fulfill the rapidly changing demands of lifestyle and fashion customers. We will continue to work with all stakeholders to ensure the highest levels of service for Benetton India,” said P V Sheshadri, CEO, Future Supply Chain. The warehouse also features an efficient 50kW Solar Power Plant, sky lighting, and two Sewage Treatment Plants for enabling reuse of contaminated water, the company said. “I am extremely delighted that Benetton has partnered with Future Supply Chain to run its national distribution centre.
