  2. Verbos Reflexivos Example: The boy dresses himself. - Reflexive verbs are used to indicate that the subject is both the giver and the receiver of the action. Is that same person receiving the dressing? (Yes!) Who is dressing? Since the boy is both doing the dressing and receiving the dressing, it is reflexive.

  3. Verbos Reflexivos lavarse have two parts: a reflexive pronoun and a verb infinitive reflexive pronoun verb

  4. bañarse We have several of these verbs in our new vocabulary reflexive pronoun verb

  5. cepillarse How about this one? reflexive pronoun verb

  6. maquillarse And this one? reflexive pronoun verb

  7. In English the reflexive pronouns are often expressed with a “self /selves” ending: You showered yourself. The boys wash themselves. Sometimes the “self/selves” sounds strange in English, so we omit it... Remember, though, if she is both doing the brushing and receiving the brushing, it is a reflexive verb. She brushes (herself).
