4Cs of Diamonds All diamond quality, whether loose diamonds or the bezel engagement ring, is assessed on four globally accepted standards. We call it the 4Cs (cut, color, carat, clarity). Let's look at these in our upcoming slides.
CUT It impacts the overall diamond’s aesthetic appeal and is commonly referred to as the angle, proportions, facets, brilliance, and finishing details. The clearer the cut is (like the cushion-cut diamond), the more attractive it is!
COLOR It is measured in D to Z grades (recommended by GIA); D being the plainest. But bear in mind the diamond's color is our sole preference and has no relation to its quality.
CARAT It refers to the diamond's weight (than its size) and is known to be the oldest standard in the industry. All its prices are dependent on this parameter.
Clarity IT EVALUATES ITS DEGREE OF CLEANLINESS, LIKE THE BLEMISHES. CLEANEST DIAMONDS ARE EXCEEDINGLY RARE AND, THEREFORE, THE MOST PRECIOUS.
