  3. ABOUTUNIVERSITY Established in 2013, Sanchi University of Buddhist Indic Studies is a state university. Therefore, university has the aim of spreading of education especially higher education in the city of Sanchi. Further, it lead to deeper socio and economic development. The University covers a vast arena of disciplines and encompasses various faculties in the field of Arts. Moreover, city of Sanchi is the world heritage site, famous for the stupa and ancient relics of Lord Buddha.

  4. ABOUTUNIVERSITY The University has the area of around 120 acres of land near hillock on the Bhopal-Sanchi highway not far from the tropic of cancer. Therefore the campus of university has the picturesque location which has surroundings of green fields & forest laden hills. Establishment by Government of Madhya Pradesh under Sanchi University of Buddhist-Indic Studies Act, 2012. Moreover, the foundation stone for the university was laid on 21st September 2012 by then President of Sri Lanks, Mahinda Rajapaksa. But arrival of him led to protest by MarumalarchiDravidaMunnetraKazhagam.

Therefore, the campus has infrastructure like library, hostel, health care, canteen/ cafeteria, and many more. Moreover, the university campus is urban and within the city of Sanchi. Sanchi University of Buddhist Indic Studies is also known as SUBIS.

  6. SCHOLARSHIPS • Sanchi University offers Scholarship and Financial Aid to the students who are meritoriously brilliant in the studies. Following are the scholarships offers by the university: • Special Merit for Scholarships: Top three rank holders having 80% and above in the entrance examination of any program/course has the offer of University scholarship for special merits. • BPL students' Scholarships: Top three BPL rank holders having 70% and above in the entrance examination of any program are has the offer of this scholarship (excluding Ph.D. and M.Phil students). • Scholarships for M.Phil and Ph.D. students: All students studying in these two programs have the offer for this scholarship award. • Concession and Exemption: The University provides fee concession to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC category (except for those who are in the creamy layer). The benefits will only be given to the domiciles of Madhya Pradesh. Blind and physically challenged students are the exemptions from payment of Tuition fee only.

  8. PLACEMENTS Placements is one of the very important factor when we want to know about any college. Campus of the university has a dedicated placement cell for its students to get best of jobs offers. Furthermore, university’s placement cell organises workshops and provides training programmes to students for interviews.

  9. ADMISSIONS The University conducts a common entrance examination for admission in various courses and programs. Therefore, final admission is on the basis of scores in the entrance test. Additionally, viva scores are also in the count. Ratio of marks of written exam and viva is 70:30. Moreover, minimum 50% marks for General/OBC category and 40% for SC/ST are mandatory for passing both stages.

  10. COURSES OFFERED University brings numerous courses for its students across various disciplines. Likewise provides courses in masters, M.Phil., Ph.D., Diploma or Certification Courses. Now, read below to know about courses at the university. Masters: Masters courses at the university, as a matter of fact, are also recognised for their comprehensive level of education. The university offers masters courses in Buddhist Studies, Hindi, Sanskrit, Vedic Studies, English, Chinese, Yogic Science, Indian Philosophy and Indian Painting. Furthermore, it provides courses that are, Masters of Arts (M.A.) and Masters of Fine Arts (MFA). However, these courses have a duration of two (2) years.

  11. COURSES OFFERED M.Phil. and Ph.D.: The university provides the highest level of education to scholars from M.Phil. & Ph.D. programs. Moreover, the University also offers financial assistance to scholars during their research tenure. Likewise, the university offers Ph.D. courses in Ayurveda, Indian Painting, English, Vedic Studies and Buddhist Studies. And, therefore M.Phil. courses in Hindi, Sanskrit, Buddhist Studies, Vedic Studies, English, Indian Painting, Indian Philosophy, Yoga and Ayurveda. However, these courses have a duration of five (5) years. Certification Courses or Diplomas: The university provides two certification courses or diplomas for their students. However, they are interesting and easy for the students of university. The specialisations in certification courses or diplomas are Chinese Language, Written & Spoken Sanskrit and Pali Language & Literature. However, these courses have a duration of one (1) year.

  12. INFRASTRUCTURE The University provides a great learning experience to its students. Additionally, university has also ensured to make the student experience better as well. Central Library The university has one of the richest libraries of its kind in the city of Sanchi. Therefore, it has nearly 5,000 volumes of books. Moreover, A substantial number of books and magazines are added regularly to the library. The library aims to facilitate the quality and value added services to its users. Since the library is at nascent stage so it is in process of subscribing wide range of National & International Journals and Magazines. Therefore, The library also has facility of searching books and journals through internet. At present, the Library has one reading hall having Textbook section and Reference section besides a reading space for newspapers.

  13. INFRASTRUCTURE Computer Laboratory The college has a computer lab with 50 desktops and a LCD projector. Moreover, each computer has been provided with internet facility. However, the lab is being developed into a resource centre for optimal use of own and outsourced resources. Therefore, All faculties of the college have been provided with a computer and internet facility at his/her work place. Hostels Hostels is a necessary part of any college. Moreover, hostels is the place which is known to be “Home Away from Home”. Campus of University offers hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Therefore, Every student is provided facilities include Mess, Water dispensers, Recreation Room, Indoor games, fully fledged Branch of State Bank of India, Parking, Round the clock Security, Sports ground, and Wi-Fi enabled Net connectivity.

  14. INFRASTRUCTURE Guest House On the right of the guest house are the residential blocks which are 200 meters away from the guest house facility. Because many international and domestic guests arrive in Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya for seminars and workshops and many international and domestic well-known faculties come for guest lectures. Therefore, the college has facility of guest house available for the guests. Sports Complex and Gym The university offers both indoor and outdoor sports and gym for both girls and boys. There is a modern gym with updated equipments for both boys and girls. Moreover, there is indoor stadium for indoor sports like carrom, table tennis, chess and many more. Also, the courts are present for sports like badminton, tennis, volleyball and basketball. Campus also have the dedicated space for spectator sports like Cricket and Football.

  15. INFRASTRUCTURE Cafeteria Cafeteria is known as fun hub for the college students. They consider it as their adda to meet their friends, enjoy and de-stress themselves from their busy schedule. Cafeteria at the University offers multi-cuisine food items which are healthy along with affordable prices for its students.
