  1. What is Epee in fencing? This is the kind of fencing in which you will get to see that one player is attacking the foot of the other person, and by the time that he succeeds, the other player has scored a hit on the helmet of the attacking player. This is the type of action that you will get to see in Epee, and this is known to be one of the three swords used in fencing around the world and is also a different fencing style. This sword is easily identifiable because it has a bell-like appearance or guard at its handle to protect the hand of the player from the attack of the other player and is a very aggressive kind. Epee has its sword made in the world, and due to this reason, it has its own set of rules and style of fencing, and the goal of this kind of fencing is to score by hitting the player anywhere on the body. The different kinds of fencing in this world have their sword-like the Foil fencing has the foil sword, Sabre fencing has the Sabre sword, and then Epee fencing has its Epee sword. The Epee sword is known to be the heaviest, largest, and stiffest sword that exists between the three swords in the sport itself. The weight of this sword is around 1.7 pounds which convert to somewhere around 775 grams, and even a small change in the weight of the sword matters in fencing. The rule is basic in this kind of fencing as you just have to score points by hitting your opponent with the sword on any body part, just like you do in the other forms of fencing. In Epee, the target area is kept on the whole body that is from the toe to the head, and you can score points by hitting anywhere there are no off-target touches, so the match does not halt often. The only time when the referee stops the match is when one of the players touches their sword on the ground either by accident or on purpose.
