  4. Target: 52.6% of students pass the Reading MSP Vision Students are reading and comprehending grade level text. Students are engaged in high level conversations around their reading. Process Balanced Literacy model Students assessed 3x per year to get A-Z reading levels Guided Reading Groups based on A-Z reading levels for intervention and targeted instruction Independent work at students’ individual levels Every Child Loves to Read Bow Lake Readers

  5. Target: 50.0% of students pass the Writing MSP Vision Students are able to articulate thinking in writing as proficient writers. Students apply standard English conventions to their writing. Process Teachers implement the Writers Workshop model using the new Highline Writing Frameworks Bow Lake Writers

  6. Target: 51.1% of students pass the Math MSP Vision Students have strong computational fluency and problem solving skills. Students are able to apply mathematical reasoning in conversation and in independent work. Process Math in Focus and CMP Develop problem solving process using Singapore bar modeling Students assessed 3x per year on computational fluency using AIMS and concepts using Mathematics Benchmark Assessments Math Boost and Blended Technology for intervention and targeted instruction Bow Lake Mathematicians

  7. Vision Students are able to problem solve situations involving conflict and make good choices. Students know their jobs as students and act as positive members of the school community. Process School-wide social program 7 Habits of Happy Kids will reinforce skills/characteristics of a good citizen 5th and 6th grade students will give input to Bow Lake staff on the Student Council Bow Lake Citizens
