  1. A REVIEW Life Plan & The Three P’s Presentation by Geoffrey Roberts

  2. Review your life plan Lets have another look at your life plan: In one year from now what will your life look like? In three years from now what will your life look like?

  3. Session 1: Living above or below the line Secondary gain (pay off for the pain) E.g. safety, ease, comfort, pity, identity, certainty

  4. Session 2: Meaning and belief Defining moments: Significant events that have created beliefs within you. The gift of doubt: What if there were a different meaning? Empowering beliefs: What are some good beliefs I should have?

  5. Session 3: Pleasure and pain

  6. Session 4: Six core needs Are your needs being met in aresourceful (good) or unresourceful (less good) way?

  7. Session 5: Happiness and progress What do you value? Do you live like you actually value these things?

  8. The three P’s: Priorities • Know what you want. • Take action – Even if it is just one small step towards your goals. • Notice the results you are getting. Are you going in the right direction? • If you are going in the wrong direction… CHANGE SOMETHING.

  9. The three P’s: Procrastination • Procrastination is a strategy to protect yourself & feel safe and comfortable. • Link pain to this bad habit by looking at what it is actually costing you NOT to act. • Associate pleasure with acting on things immediately. • Ask better questions instead of focussing on why you don’t want to do something:‘What is great about this challenge?’

  10. The three P’s: Pressure • Pressure helps us to see what we are really like and what is actually inside us. • Key tools for managing pressure: Humour, exercise, rest, meditation, journaling, asking for help, stretching, key conversations, delegating. • Make sure you know where the pressure is coming from: Are you placing the pressure on yourself or is the pressure coming from someone else?
