  3. What is Testing? • Testing is to ensure that your CubeSat operates as designed: • Testing that the GPS works • The battery life is sufficient for the mission • The electronics and programing functions reliably collect, and store data.

  4. Testing Mission Phases • Testing also ensures that your CubeSat will operate successfully during the mission phases: • The launch • The Flight: will function in the environmental conditions (temperature and low air pressure) • Re-entry (parachute) If your CubeSat passes these tests then it is Space Qualified

  5. Space Qualification Spacecraft undergo a rigorous range of tests such as (depending on the mission): Launch Space Environment Shaker Table for launch vibration testing Vacuum and thermal chamber Re-entry If the spacecraft passes these tests and others then the spacecraft is Space Qualified Heat shield testing
