  6. Exceptional Learners include both high ability and students with special needs. Center Grove is committed to improving thecurricular offerings in order to maximize the achievements of both groups. Exceptional Learners

  7. Special Services has received an INSPIRE grant and is partnering with Franklin College to provide appropriate curriculum and opportunities for students ages 18-22. Exceptional Learners

  8. Additional experiences with world cultures and languages help to prepare students for their futures and increases their challenge in the curriculum. Center Grove is committed to expanding world language offerings at the middle school level and more cultural experiences within the elementary programming. World Languages

  13. Expand the elementary World Language program from the pilot at Maple Grove Elementary to all elementary schools in grades 3-4-5 for 2014-15 [addition of four assistants]. • Expand the middle school World Language program to include Spanish language and culture in grades 6 and 7 and Spanish I and preparation for Spanish I in grade 8 [hire 3 Spanish teachers]. Recommendation

  14. Indiana Health Standards in grades 6-7-8 include nutrition, personal care and fitness standards. • School districts are required to provide 2 of 3 possible exploratory experiences in Middle School to include FACS, Business/Computers/IT and/or Industrial Technology. • 2013 standards are written so that finance and career standards are available in all three of the offerings. • Computer/Business class (exploratory) is placed in the 8th grade core for all students and curriculum includes Indiana Finance Standards for Middle School. • Center Grove offers a robust high school FACS program to all students and opportunities for well-developed elective courses in any area of FACS interest or need. • High school engineering and technology courses focus on PLTW, pre-engineering and C9 courses.
