2. FY11K – New Reporting Methods • Reporting using Alpha EMIS as in prior years • As DASL agent is completed, users may still run collections to become more familiar with the process • Very few changes in DASL EMIS for FY11

3. DASL FY11K Processing • For period K, will still perform verification and update processes in DASL as in prior years, same as last year • DASL EMIS Maintenance screens should only be used to VIEW data – no changes!!!!

5. DASL Fy11 changes • Student Profile Edit Changes • New CTE Program of Concentration field added to FN tab • Two dropdowns added • One to select the area of concentration • Once area of concentration is selected, program list is populated with only the codes for that area

DASL FY11 Changes • UNCLEMIS – Student Verification • New checks for • Tech Prep Completer value • If value = “Y” and Concentrator = “**”, “Student cannot be completer if not a concentrator” • All period M validations now available in period K • December 1 IEP Outcome now reported in period K. If value was already entered on the ‘M’ record but not on the ‘K’ record, the message “December 1 IEP Outcome value contains a value in the ‘M’ record that is not in the ‘K’ record”

DASL Fy11 Changes • UNCLEMIS – Student Verification • Updated checks for State Equivalent Grade Level • Previous check wasn’t validating properly when grade level was something like ‘KA’, ‘KP’ or ‘UG’ and State Equivalent grade level was ‘KG’ • Will now check the proper EMIS grade level equivalent of each of the grade levels

11. DASL FY 11 changes • New field added to District/Building Records • DQ and DR record – added field for Information Technology Center IRN • Value defaults to your ITC • Only needs changed if your EMIS data is submitted through another ITC

12. DASL FY11 Changes • Updated Functionality of CTE Management Page • Previously updated Concentrator on subject records • Updated to now update CTE Concentrator field on FN record

16. DASL FY11 Changes Student Demographic/Standing/Attributes Transfer • Updated to now include new GJ Race/Ethnicity records • Records for any students with race checkboxes checked will be included in this transfer file

DASL FY11 Changes CLISEMIS/CTRMEMIS • Added check for Credential ID on staff Members (credential ID’s needed for EMIS/D3A2 and Pre-ID) • If staff member is missing a credential ID, • the course ID and section, name and Teacher name will be printed • error “Warning – Staff member is missing a Credential ID on Staff Record” Get in the habit of updating Credential ID’s early in the school year!

22. DASL FY11 Changes Update to Subject codes for AP Classes Ode changed the way AP courses are coded • DSST will provide a one time mass update script • updated Subject codes to new Subject code value • Update Curriculum value to ‘AP’

23. DASL FY11 Changes Update CTE Student Assessment Page • Updated the CTE Teaching Score field to allow a three character score instead of 2 • Corrected misspelling of “Assessment” in Labels • Changed CTE Teaching Score label to “CTE Portfolio Score” to match EMIS guide

24. DASL Fy11 Changes Future EMIS changes this year: • New CTE Tech Prep Consortium Mapping Record Maintenance screen • Remove all period M related pages in the current year and forward • Update CTRMEMIS check for Highly Qualified Teacher

25. DASL FY11 Bug Fixes • Core Summary Update doubling earned credits when processed for period K – Fixed • Student Profile Bulk Update – copies October attendance to new FS records – Fixed • UNCLEMIS – Grade level Checks when local grade level is different value than State Equivalent - Fixed

DASL FY11 Enhancements Civil Rights Report – Phase II added to DASL • Will provide student related data for • Students who passed specific courses • AP testing and Course participation • Retention statistics • Single-sex Interscholastic Athletics Participation • Discipline of students both with and without disabilities
