Medical treatment Treatment of TB uses antibiotics to kill the bacteria. standard therapy for active TB consist of a six month regimen containing antibiotics isoniazid, rifampicin, pyrazinamideand ethambutol for first two months, and only isoniazid and rifampicin for the last four months.
