  4. Using Question Maps • First column- List your questions • Second column- Make notes about each question • Third column- List possibilities for finding answers • Final column- Jot down answers to your questions

Summarizing Expository Text • Choose sections you want summarized and read the first section of text • Draw twenty blank lines, write a summary for the text using one word per line • Read section set of text • Write a new summary statement that combines your first summary with whatever you want to add from the second
