2. Facts *Plato is the person who shared the story about Atlantis (the “myth”)????? *Plato wrote a book about Atlantis. *He also wrote another book about Atlantis but didn’t finish it. *Most of the early maps placed Atlantis in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. *Atlantis was also a continent.

3. Continued Facts *Nobody can really prove what Atlantis looked like. This is so far back, that no one could really illustrate what Atlantis looked like.

4. Theories *The most scientific theory is that earthquakes and floods destroyed it and the land sunk in the ocean. *Some say Plato exaggerated and it changed when it was passed down from generation to generation. *A Mountain called Mt. Atlas erupted and exploded and caught the whole land on fire. Some people escaped on life boats and a huge wave drowned everyone. (natural disaster). *People believe that Plato just made up the story.

5. My Theories *One of my theories is that Plato just made it up. He wrote a book for it. He might’ve just wanted to write a good book and let people enjoy the story. *Another one of my theories and a lot of other people’s theory is that Atlantis got destroyed by a natural disaster (hurricane, earthquake, and maybe a tsunami). Then Atlantis sunk down to the bottom of the Atlantic ocean. *After all of the facts I read I think that Atlantis just might have been made up or it is destroyed by a natural disaster. It seems like people just exaggerated as the story was passed down.
