  1. PDHPE

  2. Rationale To encourage PDHPE principles in schools: • Become apart of the ‘Crunch and Sip’ program even if the school doesn't endorse it. • Helping to guide a whole person, by never cutting out or reducing PDHPE lessons • Encouraging exercise through classroom games • Encourage positive life principles through fun interactive teaching and learning (role play, games, creative arts etc)

  3. Teaching PE in schools • Follow the ‘Game Sense’ ideology of teaching • Let students play as they are all children • Encourage active play • Encourage cooperative and inclusive active activities in student’s play and structured PE lessons

  4. Teaching HPE in Schools • Being sensitive around taboo or controversial topics (referring back to school polices and deferring questions to later or to parents) • Being objective and not allowing personal views/thoughts/opinions to influence my teaching • Encouraging exploration of various topics through interactive and fun teaching

  5. Future Teaching Practices • Encourage healthy eating in the classroom • Allowing students to bring in fresh fruit/vegetables to snack on in class • Encouraging students to bring a bottle of water to class • Always modelling good behaviour around food, exercise and general practices (hats, dress etc)
