The importance of pdhpe in primary education? • it teaches children to mature into healthy individuals, and gives them a benchmark for the needed knowledge and skills to have in life. • Provides children with all the needed knowledge to sustain a healthy lifestyle for the whole life • Encouraging exercise through classroom games • Encourage positive life principles through fun interactive teaching and learning (role play, games, creative arts etc)

Teaching PE in school environments • Teachers should follow the ‘Game Sense’ ideology of teaching • Allow students to have free play and use their imaginations • Encourage active play within a classroom, and in the playground • Encourage cooperative and inclusive active activities in student’s play and structured PE lessons

  4. PDH within a school • Being sensitive around taboo or controversial topics • Always leaving the discussion questions open ended, and never having a closed questions. • Being objective and not allowing personal views to influence teaching • Provides knowledge to children about varies personal and social issues that are evident within the society.

  5. Future Teaching Practices • Encourage healthy eating in the classroom • Allowing students to bring in fresh fruit/vegetables to snack on in class • Encouraging students to bring a bottle of water to class • Always modelling good behaviour around children including food, exercise and general practices (hats, dress etc)
