  1. The Revolution Emma St.Denis-Peers

  2. KINGLOUIS King Louis XVI ascended the throne in 1774, he inherited a realm driven bankrupt through the assets of his predecessors. After donning the crown things only spiraled downwards. The economy in Paris of the year 1788 was the worst it has ever been. The people of France claimed Louis to be an ineffective ruler and he was overthrown due to poor decisions. A guard of twelve hundred horse men escorted Louis XVI to his execution, he had been condemned to death by the National Convention. King Louis XVI’s last words were “I die innocent of all crimes laid to my charge; I pardon those who have occasioned my death; and pray to god that the blood you are going to shed may never be visited on France.” You are the ruler of France, King Louis XVI, you will make the decisions for your people. Will you end up to be just as ineffective as the dead Louis?

  3. MARIE ANTOINETTE The Austrian Marie Antoinette has been arranged to marry you. Your people have heard news of the proposal as well, they dislike the concept of a foreigner ruling beside their king. But to marry Antoinette would mean more connections, which in turn means more men and Austria and France who have been long-time enemies would be able to better their relationship. Do you agree to the marriage?Do you decline the marriage?

  4. DEAD

  5. You have declined the marriage. Your people and your ambassadors feel as though you should marry, they search for an eligible French woman who they believe will be best suited to rule alongside their King. You believe you are capable to rule alone, you have thoughts of committing yourself to France as the great Ruler you wish to be.Do you marry the French woman?Do you marry France as a country and commit like the great ruler you wish to be?

  6. The people of France cheer your name across the country, Paris relishes in your rule. The people of France have some concerns that they would like to be heard and addressed. The National Assembly represents everyone they declared they want a new constitution for France and will not disband until their request is met. Do you agree to hear them out?Do you shut them down for good?

  7. You come to a compromise for the constitution and the National Assembly backs down in respect of their King.

  8. You have earned the respect of your people only to have them crushed as papers and stories are reaching your ears of a man named Voltaire who is disrespecting you, calling you an incest, insulting your religion and causing a ruckus in the streets among your people. Doubts are rising about your authority..Do you kill Voltaire?Do you laugh with him in retrospect?Do you imprison him?

  9. Your people disregard the accusations Voltaire has made against you, doubts are diminished, you rise with your people to make France the center of the universe.

  10. The doubts of your people are not diminished. But you have imprisoned Voltaire in the Bastille the sign of your rule, he will stay there for a year or until you decide is appropriate.

  11. One of your entrusted politicians, Robespierre visits you one afternoon. He comes with bad news; Danton is planning to overthrow you in hopes to gain the crown and have a position that allows more authority. Do you kill Danton?Do you wait for evidence?Do you confront Danton?

  12. You have some of your trusted guards follow Danton, they report back to you with news of a new reign, the reign of “The Terror”. You believe Danton to be the brains behind the operation, you have him killed.

  13. Time has passed rumours of The Terror continues beyond the death of Danton. You have your guards investigate. The words of Robespierre reach your ears through your guards, his plan had worked. Robespierre has been conspiring with the ruthless members of the National Assembly to form The Terror, a movement to rid France of all evil souls. He needed Danton to be removed from the picture to be able to achieve full control. Robespierre addresses you, he asks you to support The Terror.Do you support?Do you execute the movement?

  15. As time passes by, mother nature comes for a visit. A volcano has erupted and your crops are failing across France. Your people are starving and tension is rising. Do you share the portions you have?Do you ignore their pleas for food?

  16. You are known as the saint in disguise as a ruler of France. You rule the Country until the day you die. France will always Remember the King who put his people before Himself. A king who cares for himself is no king.. Congratulations on making it to the end.
