  1. Finding Domain and Range from a Graph When you are trying to find the domain and range from a graph, you have to: - find what x’s are represented for the domain - find what y’s are represented for the range The x’s go from -4 to 5. Therefore, the domain is from -4 to 5 inclusively. Domain = { -4 ≤ x ≤ 5 } The y’s go from 0 to 4. Therefore, the range is from 0 to 4 inclusively. Range = { 0 ≤ y ≤ 4 }

  2. Finding Domain and Range from a Graph Find the domain and range from the graph. The x’s go from -5 to 5. Therefore, the domain is from -5 to 5 inclusively. Domain = { -5 ≤ x ≤ 5 } The y’s go from -6 to 8. Therefore, the range is from -6 to 8 inclusively. Range = { -6 ≤ y ≤ 8 }

  3. Finding Domain and Range from a Graph Find the domain and range from the graph. Are there any x’s that are not included on the graph? No. Every x is included. Are there any y’s that are not included on the graph? No. Every y is included. Domain = {all real numbers} or {R} Range = {all real numbers} or {R}

  4. Finding Domain and Range from a Graph Find the domain and range from the graph. Are there any x’s that are not included on the graph? Yes. Any x less than 0 is not included. Therefore, x ≥ 0. Are there any y’s that are not included on the graph? No. Every y is included. Range = {all real numbers} or {R} Domain = {x ≥ 0}
