  2. Finding a Hoax website • Intended for 5th or 6th grade • Make sure there is an author • Make sure that the information is up to date • That the website has a purpose

  3. The author • Make sure the name of the author is some where on the website. • Is there contact information for the author • They are qualified to put the information on the website. • A sponsors name is mentioned

  4. Revisions • Is there a date last revised? • Revisions are appropriate to the material. • Is the content updated frequently? • Are there any other sites listed on there?

  5. Purpose • Is the purpose of the site clear? • Does it tell you what its about? • Farming, gardening, business, hurricanes, Etc. • Is the age level of the audience clear? • Children, adults, high school students, etc. • Is it easily understood. • No misspelled words • Grammar is correct
