  2. Process for MDS Communications Strategy • Convened MDS Communications Sub-Group to review draft plan (Feb. 2005): Linda Bailey, Brenda Bryan, Annamaria Feltracco, Joanne Pike, Suzy McDonald Jesse Nodora and Abby Rosenthal

  3. Support for Implementation • Communication tools to support implementation include: • Toolbox • E-Bulletins • NAQC Bulletin Board • Conference calls • TA Support (e-based)

  4. Pre-Implementation February • NAQC R&E Working Group finalizes and signs-off on MDS (Phx, AZ ’05) • MDS support documents in progress • Communication subgroup formed to work on Communications Strategy for MDS implementation February/March/April • Pilot group tests questions (Case study presented at NAQC Annual Meeting)

  5. Pre-Implementation March/April/May • E-Bulletin sent to stakeholders with MDS overview and timeline for implementation/MDS article in NAQC e-Newsletter • Q&As distributed on most FAQs about MDS implementation April/May • MDS materials posted on NAQC Website May • MDS presented at NAQC Annual Meeting, Chicago

Implementation June – August • Quitlines adjust, change and test their data collections systems • Conference calls and e-Bulletins with stakeholder groups as needed • MDS Implementation Toolbox with TA Support available • NAQC Bulletin Board available for questions, information exchange and comments/feedback among membership

  7. Implementation August/September • NAQC Bulletin Board available for questions, information exchange and comments/feedback among membership • Conference calls and e-Bulletins with stakeholder groups as needed September • Quitlines start MDS collection • NAQC Bulletin Board available for information exchange

  8. Post-Implementation October/November • Process evaluation on MDS implementation December • NAQC checks-in to see how MDS is working
