CWDS Project Update • Project status • System design is 100% complete • Input was received from over 30 WPA partner staff • System development is 100% complete • System testing is underway • Systems Integration Testing (SIT) • SIT was completed 4/27/07 • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) • UAT is scheduled from 4/30 through 7/20/07 • A total of 11 BETP staff have been identified to participate in UAT activities

  4. CWDS Training Update • Training Schedule • Training will be role-based according to your primary role in the office • Case Management • CWDS 101 • CAO Worker • Additional training will be provided to those staff with additional responsibilities in the office • Ad Hoc Reports

CWDS Training Update • Training Schedule (cont.) • Training will be provided throughout the commonwealth in a total of 35 facilities • Facilities include Penn State University campuses, community colleges, intermediate units, and others • All training facilities are equipped with computers to facilitate hands-on learning of the CWDS application • The comprehensive list of training facilities will be distributed to coordinators after today’s webinar

CWDS Training Update • Training Schedule (cont.) • The detailed training schedule including the dates, times, and locations of training will be available in the E-LMS (Enterprise Learning Management System) • Staff will be required to log on to the E-LMS and enroll in a CWDS class • Coordinators and staff are asked to select a CWDS training course that is closest to their office location • CWDS class enrollment period for BETP training is 7/9 – 8/31/07 • To access the E-LMS, use the following link: http://lms.state.pa.us • Detailed instructions to access the E-LMS will be provided to coordinators via email in the June timeframe

CWDS Training Update • Training Schedule (cont.) • All staff will be required to complete a “Pre-Work” course prior to attending instructor-led training • The Pre-Work course is a computer-based training (CBT) course and is designed to provide an introduction to the CWDS application • CWDS overview • Key terms and definitions • Introduction to the CWDS application and subsystems • Basic screen navigation • The Pre-Work CBT will take approximately two hours to complete • The Pre-Work CBT will be available to all students when they log in to the E-LMS to enroll in the instructor-led course (7/9 – 8/31/07)

CWDS Training Update • Training Schedule (cont.) • Training Readiness Checklist • The checklist includes activities that need to be completed by coordinators prior to CWDS training • The checklist also includes due dates for each readiness activity • Please use the checklist to guide your training planning and communication activities with staff • An electronic version of the checklist will be distributed to coordinators via email after today’s webinar • We will be checking in with each coordinator on the completion of the checklist during the next webinar (6/14/07)!

  9. Feedback from Coordinators • As a coordinator, you play a critical liaison role with local office staff! • We need your feedback • What have you heard from staff about CWDS? • Your input will allow us to better tailor our communications, training planning, and readiness activities

Next Steps • In preparation for CWDS training, there are a series of training readiness activities scheduled over the next four months • We need your help in completing these readiness activities! • Coordinator Webinars (Thursdays, 10:30-11:30am) • Monthly: 5/18 and 6/14 • Biweekly: 7/12 and 7/26 • Weekly: 8/2, 8/9, 8/16, 8/23 • Outlook calendar invitations and emails are forthcoming • Training Readiness Checklist • You will be receiving an electronic version of the checklist after today’s webinar • We will be checking in with each coordinator on the status and completion of the checklist during the next webinar (6/14/07)!

Next Steps • We need your help in completing these readiness activities! • Coordinators should continue to send any staffing changes to Erika at eswierczynski@deloitte.com or 717-763-3304 • Please be sure to include any staff that are joining or leaving your office • For new staff, please be sure to indicate the following: • The training course they should attend (i.e. Case Management) • Assistive technologies or reasonable accommodations provided to the staff person by the local office
