  3. Aileron Ailerons can be used to generate arolling motionfor an aircraft. LOCATION: Ailerons are small hinged sections on the outboard portion of a wing. MOVEMENT:Ailerons cause one wing tip to move up and the other wing tip to move down

  5. Elevators Elevators can be used to generate a pitch motion for an aircraft. LOCATION: Elevators are located on the tail of the airplane attached to the horizontal stabilizer. MOVEMENT: Point the elevator up:and the nose goes upand the airplane climbs. Point the elevator down:and the nose goes down and the airplane goes down.
