2. OUR SCHOOL • First of all, our high school is a great place to spend time in, whether you are a student, teacher or parent. • Is a technical institution providing both a basic high school education to pupils as well as vocational skills to older students seeking to earn a degree while working. • It comprises 1,538 students and 98 teachers and administrative staff. • Our school is fully equipped (3 computer labs, nice and spacious classrooms, technical rooms, a gym, a tennis court and a students’ learning club).

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES: • Making lifelong learning and mobility; • Improving the quality and efficiency of education and training; • Promoting equity, social cohesion and active citizenship; • Enhancing creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship, at all levels of education and training.

7. EXRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES • Extra-curricular activities represent very much for our students. They come to participating in many events, they are the practically the best from city in those activities.

8. Getting as far away from school as possible is another thing we are fond of. Trips are organized every other weekend. We either go hiking in the mountains surrounding the area or take a tour of the country together.

9. Sports are not neglected either as we have all the necessary ingredients: the premises, enthusiastic teachers and ambitious students. The most popular sports are football, rugby, handball and basketball.

10. MAKING MOVIES • Shooting films has long become a tradition in our school… I’m talking about very low budget films realized by our students under teacher coordination.

16. ABOUT PROJECTS • TECHNICAL COLLEGE ”DIMITRIE LEONIDA” PETROSANI has experience of working with Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius and PHARE TVET Programmes and has developed links with local, regional and national organizations.

17. FOR PROJECT… • We can present the project to organisations and the local community using in-house and local newspapers, internet, radio, networks, brochures, meetings with teaching specialists and local authorities, teaching trainer networks. • We can teach about the importance of a healthy life style. • Together with students we can make calendar or/and a cookbook with healthy recipes (maybe collaborative with your students). • We will contribute to every activity included in the work plan.

18. ABOUT SELECTING STUDENTS • The students which will participate in project have to: • know English language very well; • had computer skills; • be well-disciplined; • had good marks; • participated in extracurricular activities; • had parents agreement.
