  2. Completing Club Activity • Status will be a rating: • 0 - Inactive • 1 - Does not meet standards • 2 - Meets standards • 3 - Exceeds standards

Completing Club Activity General guidelines for a club meeting standards • Club holds regular club and officer/board meetings • Club pays dues on time and for at least 20 members • Club is performing at least ten (10) service hours a month during the school year • Club is performing at least two (2) meaningful and impactful service/fundraising projects each month during the school year • Club members and officers participate in Divisional and District events

  4. Completing Club Activity After recording the clubs’ ratings  Complete Activities • Ratings of 2 or 3: Summarize Actives of Club • Ratings of 0 or 1: • FIRST - List the deficit(s)

  5. Completing Club Activity Examples of deficits to write • Club holds regular club and officer/board meetings • Club meetings are irregular, not scheduled • Board does not meet or meets irregularly or “as needed” • Not holding any summer board meetings

  6. Completing Club Activity Examples of deficits to write • Club pays dues on time and for at least 20 members • Last year club paid dues after Dec. 1 • Last year or current membership is less than 20

Completing Club Activity Next step – Actions you will take for 0’s and 1’s • Decide what you can do to impact the deficit for this month • Must be done in next 30 days • May require small steps and several months • May be for you to get someone else to take action • You may get club involved by getting them to plan something • Finding something the club is doing to celebrate may help encourage more action

  11. Completing Club Activity Putting it all together • Write DEFICIT + ACTION in next 30 days • Club not meeting regularly because members don’t attend. Plan to talk with advisor about why this may be happening. Will then meet with officers and give ideas on how to make meetings more interesting. • Faculty adviser has been non-responsive and blocks me from communicating with officers. Zone Administrator and Kiwanis Adviser are going to have a conference this month with the Principal of the school in order to facilitate communication.

Planning to attend a meeting and train officers in August. • Fewer than 20 members last year, half have graduated, no officers. Meeting with remaining members this month to help them plan membership drive for August.

My club is inviting their members to our Habitat for Humanity project. • Club does few project. Projects uninteresting to members, need project ideas. Getting club president in touch with Service Chair to give project ideas. Will follow up with officers how to plan some of them they have chosen.

  14. Completing Club Activity Putting it all together • Write DEFICIT + ACTION in next 30 days • Club paid dues in February because they did not collect them until late. Plan to cover with President and Treasurer ways to collect and pay dues earlier.

Giving a presentation at their first meeting on DCON and will talk about ways to raise money early to help pay. Will attend Kiwanis DCM to meet with sponsoring club to discuss what they can do financially to assist. • Club is inactive. Will attend Kiwanis DCM and meet with sponsoring president and SLP (sponsored youth) chair to plan how to reactivate.
