  2. In his first appearance on the French couture scene, Courrèges introduced a revolutionary concept of styling space-age clothes. This included boots, goggles, and dresses three inches above the knee. The main features of his boxy, uncluttered look spread quickly throughout the fashion world, especially the miniskirt, which he introduced to France. He had his greatest time in the 60’s and 70’s when he was know for this refreshing new look.

  3. In this 1965French wool, silk coat dress, he applied the surgical cut and strict tailoring to the geometric planes of 1960s fabric. The thrown-back rolled collar derives from Balenciaga, as does a responsiveness to comfort. Attuned to the fashion of the very young he retained Balenciaga's flattering attention to the details
