  1. High Bandwidth Transverse FeedbackBudget and Manpower • Kicker / PU prototype • Split LARP/CERN • Split phase 2 / Full SPS Project W. Hofle

  2. Kickers and PU • CERN man power estimate for prototypes (2013-2015)  4 FTE • 2013: 0.35 FTE • 2014: 1.9 FTE • 2015: 1.75 FTE 2 FTE mechanical engineering covered by VIA request 0.6 FTE staff technician, post requested by GL to DH 1.4 FTE: existing • FSU and Material for prototypes • 200 kCHFwith LIU for prototypes • Production (20162017) • 300 kCHF • Manpower for production depends on design changes required • Assume 0.5 FTE for 2016 and 2017 • From collaborations: Electromagnetic Design • Support from ABP Group and LNF-INFN for impedance calculation

  3. LARP support before 2017 • Electronics • R&D for demonstrator 2.0 for post LS1 MDs • evaluation of amplifiers • closed orbit suppression, phase compensation technics, delay alignment, synchronisation, in close collaboration with CERN • contingency at CERN needed if LARP funding before 2017 too low  involve CERN electronics designers now (visits at SLAC ?!) • at CERN 0.3 FTE / y, travel cost and stay at SLAC • Support for Controls Algorithms Conceptual Design from SLAC • matching manpower at CERN in ABP to support simulations (0.3 FTE / y) • MDs and analysis • Shared CERN / LARP effort • Need adequate support from BE-OP and BE-ABP (0.3 FTE / y) • BE-RF-FB MD support: 0.2 FTE / y CERN: 3.3 FTE, 150 kCHF

  4. Summary CERN resources before Full Construction Project launched • Already spent (cabling, electronics for PU) • ~ 200 kCHF • Kicker and PU prototype • 200 kCHF, 4 FTE • Amplifiers • 150 kCHF, 0.3 FTE • Demonstrator work for beam period between LS1 and LS2 • 150 kCHF, 3.3 FTE • Kicker production, needs resources before start of 2017 • 100 kCHF, 0.5 FTE in 2016 • TOTAL before construction launched: 800 kCHF, 8.1 FTE

  5. Status of Requests by LARP and LIU 4.470 MUS$ Revision needed pre-2017 12.275 MUS$ Total LARP estimate: 16.745 MUS$ includes man power estimate in US accounting standards for both CERN and US current LIU total for material 1593 kCHF no contingency no price escalation
