  1. Potential Appraisal What, Why, Where, When, Who, How

  2. What? • Allows you to share with your seniors what positive results you have contributed to the organization. • Allows you to share with your seniors what improvements / changes you have brought about in yourself. (Growth) • Allows your seniors to validate and give you feedback on the same.

  3. Why? • Use the feedback to refocus yourself on your work and self improvement efforts. • Get rewarded with increment for the value you created for the organization. • Get rewarded with grade change because of the improvements you have brought about in yourself in addition to creating value.

  4. Where • A form will be available in ESS for you to fill up. Sample form (View in Internet Explorer)

  5. When? • Month of Jan / Feb of every year. • The appraisal period will be the preceding January to December • In 2010 it will be done in the month of April • The appraisal period is Jan 2009 to Mar 2010 • You must finish filling the form before End April 2010

  6. Who? • Your continuous appraiser will be your potential appraiser • Exception if your continuous appraiser belongs to the “M” cadre, his appraiser will be carrying out your potential appraisal

  7. How • You fill out the form and make your recommendations for level / grade change • Appraiser will comment and make his recommendations for level / grade change • If appraiser recommends level / grade change, people committee will review and make final recommendations • If you are unhappy with appraiser’s recommendations you can request review by people committee
