  2. TEXT: Ephesians 5:19-20 • The Ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives imparts two important perspectives to our outlook on life. They are:

  3. I. The Life of Faith • A. For Salvation • 1. In calling us to salvation (Rom 8:28) • 2. In assuring us of salvation (Rom 8:16) • B. For Family Relationships • 1. Within God’s family (Gal 4:6) • 2. Within our own family (Eph 5:18, 22-23)

  4. C. For Provision • 1. Of power to live right (Gal 5:16) • 2. Of conviction when living wrong (Heb 12:11; 1 John 4:13; Eph 4:29-30)

  5. II. The Offering of Praise and Thanksgiving • A. Praise and Thanksgiving are often expressed in song (Eph 5:19) • B. It should come from the heart, not merely an emotion • C. It is often a “corporate” response of praise and thanksgiving (Col 3:16) • D. Thus, it is something that all age groups can be involved in (Psalm 148:12)
