Graded Unit 1 Examination • Provide the competencies required by employers of those engaged in entry level administrative, managerial or commercial positions in organisations • Develop and apply a range of vocational knowledge and skills in an integrated manner to the analysis of business situations • Build on previously acquired transferable skills • Adopt an innovative and creative approach to their work and be able to respond quickly to the challenges posed by changes in the business environment

  3. Workshop Materials • Case study, questions and marking scheme • A response for each question at grade A, grade C, and a fail • A marked candidate response for each question at grade A, grade C and a fail

  4. Workshop Instructions • Using the case study, the question and the marking scheme, mark the response provided • As a group decide upon a final mark for the response you have marked • Indicate your agreed mark to the presenters • The presenters will take you through the marked responses for the A, C and fail responses.

  5. Internal and external verification • The importance of consistency and standardisation, and standards • Internal Verification • Discussing and agreeing • Recording problems • Recording good practice • Recording ideas • The link with External Verification
