Millions of people marched in the streets of France to express their solidarity. • People protected their eyes to watch the solar eclipse. • Zayn Malik announced he was leaving the band One Direction. A lot of fans cried. • 10 people died when two helicopters crashed during the shooting of an episode of Dropped. • A German pilot crashed his passenger plane in the Alps. • Princess Catherine gave to a baby girl. The parents named her Charlotte. • Thousands of refugees arrived in Europe by sea or on foot.

One of the players gave his medal to a young fan. • Terrorists blew themselves up around the Stade de France, others shot people in bars and massacred music fans in the Bataclan. • The 7th episode of Star Wars was released around the world. Some of the cast even visited the White House. • The two best tennis players lost a game and failed to complete a Grand Slam. Vinci beat Williams at the US Open and Wawrinka defeated Djokovic at the French Open.
