  4. You’re willing to do something (anything) on behalf of the chapter! Most chapter members are in a leadership role at some point! The “Unofficial” Meaning

  5. Chief Executive Officer of the chapter • Oversees all chapter activities in accordance with bylaws and standing rules • Presides at all chapter meetings • Supports all IAAP programs and initiatives • Appoints members to, and serves as an ex-officio member of, all standing and special committees • Shares international and division information with chapter members • Keeps division board contact informed about chapter activities Roles & Responsibilities – President

  6. Serves as next-in-command to the chapter president • Has specific duties/responsibilities as prescribed in the chapter’s bylaws and standing rules • Assists the president with additional duties as assigned • Assumes duties of president in their absence Roles & Responsibilities – Vice President

  7. Records, transcribes, and distributes minutes of all chapter meetings (board of directors, membership, and special meetings) Maintains chapter charter and other official documents Maintains chapter roster Distributes correspondence/meeting notices to chapter members Roles and Responsibilities – Secretary

  8. Serves as Chief Financial Officer of the chapter Deposits and disburses all funds in accordance with chapter budget and bylaws Leads the development of the chapter budget Ensures that legal and regulatory paperwork is completed and filed accurately and on time Roles and Responsibilities – Treasurer
