  4. Traditional Resume The “scattergun” approach is not very effective • Your resume may be considered for 1 minute or less • If it is not specific to a particular job or company, it may quickly be discarded

  5. Better Method: A Focused Resume “Zero-in” on a particular company, a particular job • More personal • More sincere (you are no longer saying “I’ll take any job”) • Recruiter can quickly see what your skills and job goals are.

  6. More Than One Format We will study one general format for a resume There are many different ways – choose the one that is best for your situation.
