Bachelor of Business Information Systems • Clayton Campus • Application of IT to Business Problems • This degree focuses on the applications of IT to model and solve business problems. • Students develop their knowledge, skills and attitudes in the broad areas of business programming, business information systems, e-business, business analysis and decision support. • The course has two major aims; to provide students with an understanding of information technology's role in business and to prepare them for leadership and consulting roles. • Professionally accredited course - Australian Computer Society (ACS) VCE prerequisites Units 3 and 4-a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English, and a study score of at least 25 in further mathematics or at least 20 in mathematical methods (CAS) or specialist mathematics. http://infotech.monash.edu/

Why study Business Information Systems? • All organisations, from the largest multinational to the smallest start-up, need information technology to carry them through change and ensure their long-term stability and viability. • Business information systems analysts are at the forefront of change and guide organisations toward their goals. This degree will develop your understanding of information systems in the context of big business, but you'll be able to apply your skills in a range of settings. • The course teaches the fundamentals of using IT to model and solve business problems. You'll graduate with the skills to lead communication across all levels of problem solving.
