English 10 - 11/26/12 • Poetry is nearer to vital truth than history.  ~Plato, Ion • What do you get when you cross an agnostic, a dyslexic, & an insomniac? • Osmics – the scientific study of smells. Goals – Work on Principle NVR projects. Poetry Out Loud Selection. Homework – Find a poem on Poetry Out Loud and do an analysis. Don’t forget to study for vocabulary quiz #13 Friday.

Wallace Stevens • Did you hear about the robbery at the police station, someone stole all of the toilet seats? • Polemology – the study of war. Goals –Present our NLR projects. Homework - Select a fourth poem from POL and do an analysis.

English 10 - 11/30/12 • Five minutes to study for Vocab. 13 quiz. • What do you get when you cross a polar bear with a seal? • Wonk – slang for someone who studies excessively. “Know” spelled backwards. Goals –Complete Vocab quiz #13. Present our NLR projects or begin work on Poetry Out Loud. Homework – Select a fifth poem from POL and do an analysis.
