MLA Documentation In the next few slides, I am going to give you some “secrets” to MLA documentation for some different resources used in this class Remember that there are different styles to documenting sources but learning one style will give you the tools to be able to use different methods as well

5. Purdue OWL • When you click on the MLA source page, you will be able to access examples of MLA documentation on the left side of the screen

6. MLA Documentation: EBSCO • From an article in EBSCO, you can find the MLA documentation information • This is a full text article from EBSCO

7. MLA Documentation: EBSCO • In the left had column, there is a link titled “Cite”

8. MLA Documentation: EBSCO • That link will bring up a box with a list of documentation styles where you can find MLA

9. MLA Documentation: EBSCO You can copy and paste that information onto your works cited page as a reference FYI: You will need to double check each time because occasionally the citation is wrong

10. MLA Documenation: SIRS • When you use an article from SIRS, the MLA citation can be found at the bottom of the article

11. MLA Documentation: Microsoft Word • Microsoft Word also has a nice feature to help with citing sources. • Use the Reference tab and then click on “Insert Citation”

12. MLA Documentation: Microsoft Word • Make sure the style is set to MLA • When you click on the “Insert” you can select “Add New Source”
