  1. Ms. Guitard and Mrs. Cail Grade 2 JuneNews Language Arts * Writers Workshop: We have finished our Narrative Fiction Published pieces. Students have worked very hard on these are they are wonderful! We also just completed our Animal Reports! We will continue to practice personal narratives, this month.. *Students are finished their Provincial Assessments- Congratulations! * We will continue using the IBM computer program, practicing verbs, nouns, adjectives etc. and guided reading. Math * We will continue to work on subtraction strategies – we will be focusing on subtracting using a number line as well as practicing the other strategies we’ve been learning.. * Introduce measuring length and mass using non-standard units. Important Dates and Reminders Homework June 11th - Field trip to the Dieppe aquatic center. Remember a bathing suit, towel, and swim cap. Cost is $4 June 20th- Last day of school for students. * I encourage students to continue reading every night. * The homework folder work will be finished on May 30th. I will send them home to keep afterwards. No need to record nightly reading after May 30th. * Do some extra practice on the spelling words from the list/notice sent home last month.
