GRADING • Grading Scale: • 90-100% A • 80-89% B • 70-79% C • 60-69% D • 0-59% F • Grade Percentages: • Projects/Tests 35% • Quizzes 25% • Classwork 20% • Homework 10% • Participation 10% • Missing Assignments: • M is listed instead of a grade. • Must be turned in to receive a grade change. • Late assignments receive points off. www.engrade.com Please check weekly to see your child’s progress.

Multiplication Preparation Multiplication Quizzes Ways to Practice Flash Cards Partner Practice Apps on mobile devices and tablets • Timed quizzes • Practice 1 through 12 multiplication • Begin second week of school • Must be completed by the end of September. If a child has not passed a quiz, they will receive a 0%.

Behavior Management • Class Dojo • Online access for teacher, student and parents. • Students receive and loose points daily based on their participation and progress every day. • Ending a week with positive points will earn rewards. • Ending a day with negative points will earn a consequence. www.classdojo.com Please check this website daily.

  6. IXL • www.ixl.com • Assignments for each chapter • Mastery at 80% • Entered into Engrade as a homework grade • Assignments are given by chapter in math. Due dates will always be provided.

  7. THINK CENTRAL • www.thinkcentral.com • Will be provided with username and password • Science Fusion and Journeys textbook is unavailable at this time. We hope to resolve this problem soon!

Accelerated Reader • Each child is expected to read a chapter book weekly, and take an AR quiz. • If a quiz is not taken, the student will receive a 0%. • If a student is reading a very large chapter book, extra time to read will be provided, but in class they must read a shorter book, and take a test. • Make sure the book is on their level. Homework • By Broward County standards, each student will receive 40 minutes of homework each night for a student on fourth grade level. • Weekly Assignment: • IXL • Vocabulary Squares • Spelling Contract • AR book, and taking a quiz • Writing Prompt – broken down into nightly activities • Daily Assignments: • Math from Practice Book • Reading Worksheets • Writing Worksheets • Science/S.S.
