  2. Introduction • Culture is the systems of knowledge shared by a relatively large group of people. There are many different cultures in the world.

  3. Language • In my family, we all speak English.

  4. Religion My religion is Christianity. The religion derived from Jesus Christ, based on the Bible as sacred scripture, and professed by Eastern, Roman Catholic

  5. Food There are certain foods that my culture eats, however this is one of the known foods of my culture.

  6. Clothing Hip-hop clothing fashion, also known as urban fashion is a distinctive style of dress originating with African American.

  7. Art and music music Art

  8. Ethnic or Racial Background My ethnic background is that of the African Americans.

  9. Literature The body of written works of a language, period, or culture.

  10. Family structure history Our family history is slavery.

TRADITIONS and Holidays Holidays Traditions • In my family tradition, there is a lot of story telling of the our ancestors which we are told by mouth, sing and dancing as well • Juneteenth-This holiday commemorates the day slaves were set free, commemorating abolition in Texas. • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day This holiday celebrates the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. and his contributions to the civil rights movement before his death
