  6. To set up standards in your database • Office Use – System Admin – Profile documents – System profile

  7. You can tell the program to use the state issued subject codes

  8. If you choose subject code • Go to Guidance - Courses and Classes in the secondary databases • Enter the state subject code in this field • State level code is no longer in use

  9. If you choose subject code • In the Elementary you do not have to enter the subject code on the class document. It has been entered for you when you run the Learning Connection class setup input, the Acuity Elementary teacher file or the CP report. It is entered according to the DOE state subject code list.

  10. Back to the system profile • You have to decide if you are going to use the imported standards or the existing standards. • If you use standards based report cards say no. (This is changing in Harmony 3)

  11. Yes: uses the course number – as it is designated in the system profile • No: uses the course name (what was always done in the past)

  13. If you select Yes on Use Imported standards

  14. Standards document In the elementary the standards are divided by the course number, grade and course

  15. How do you import standards?

  16. Highlight standard • Select grade level(s) • Hit OK

  17. What ties a course to a standard? • MS/HS – Course Number • Elementary – Grade and Subject code

  19. Adding existing standards to courses Selectthe standards you want to add

  20. It will add the course number and the subject to the standard

  21. Harmony 3 • Basically the exact same procedures

  22. Open System Profile • Choose state course number or subject code

  23. System profile • Choose to use imported standards Yes or No

  24. Standards view under gradebook

  25. Standard document is the same

  26. To enter standards on plans Click on enter plan Click on choose Standards

  27. Select standards

  28. On an assignment • Select the assignment name

  29. Choose standards button

  30. Select standards

  31. Standards are on your assignment title

  32. So with these tools you should be able to manage your own standards • Need standards that are not in the drop down contact support@logickey.com

  33. You can enter your own standards by using the new standards button. • And YES we will be obtaining the new Indiana standards for Math and ELA and entering those into Harmony for you.
