  2. I am the smallest unit of sound that has meaning. I am the ‘s’ in books, and I distinguish the meaning between words like ‘bowel’ and ‘vowel’. I am represented by a bunch of funny symbols, and I have my own special script in dictionaries. Who am I? Riddle

  4. We are words that vary only by one sound. In the English language is where we can be found. Between two similar words, we distinguish meaning. If you can’t hear our differences, your ears may need cleaning. Riddle

  6. I am the part of the word that receives the greatest amount of energy. If you give my energy to another syllable, the whole word doesn’t sound right. Be careful where you put me! Riddle

  8. I am in your voice. I change in level to show emotion, attitude, or communicate the function of what you’re saying. I create a question by rising at the end of a sentence. I am the subtle change of meaning in the same sentence. Riddle
