  2. Johann Bach Bach was born in Eisenach, Germany, on March 21st, 1685. When he was 9 both of his parents died, making him an orphan. He was cared for by his oldest brother. He grew up to be a organist and was very talented at it. Bach died on July 28, 1750 in Liepzig, Germany due to a stroke and high fever. His music was not recognized as good music until long after his death.

  3. Bach cont. When Bach was 14, he received a scholarship and walked 300 kilometers to the famous St. Michaels in Luneburg, near Hamburg. Bach selected and instructed musicians for orchestras and choirs in Weimar and Liepzig. Bach had 20 children between two wives. King Frederick the Great invited Bach to Potsdam in 1747. There he played his own theme and challenged the composer to improvise on it.

  4. Bach’s Music Today Bach is now seen as one of the greatest geniuses in music history. Though his music is very recognized today, back when he created it no one thought to much of it. They all said he’s just another composer. His music still inspires people to write his music and learn the history of his time period for musicians.
