  5. Geologic History • Mainly sedimentary rocks • Some metamorphic and igneous rocks can be found (metamorphic rocks are the oldest) • These igneous and metamorphic rocks are typically found in the Franciscan Formation, which came about from the subduction of the Farralon Plate
