The Avenues Project • Kick-off in late February • Parent meeting at Pacific Elementary School • Began implementation in March 2010 • Press conference and Community Block Party in April • Served over 380 homes to-date • A collaborative effort • Community Resource Project (CRP) • SMUD • PG&E • Naildown Construction • Leveraging ARRA, LIHEAP, and utility ratepayer funds
The Partnership • Collaboration began in Fall 2009 • MOU developed • Roles and expectations outlined • Development outreach materials • Home assessment & Income criteria • Energy Education & Measure installation • Neighborhood selected • Outreach events
Outreach • Community meetings • Pacific Elementary School outreach • Door-to-door canvassing • Contractors made appointments
