See who they are following that you may know. Use search function in bottom nav to search by key word(s) Use #ShannonBoudjema to find tweets that contain the entire word ShannonBoudjema

Keep your Tweets to 120 characters so it’s easy for other’s to ReTweet <RT> you. If directing tweet to someone. Keep their twitter identity sacred. @ShannonBoudjema – will be public. Will also show up in their perosnal replies folder in case they weren’t looking the second you just tweeted.

  8. What’s Up With The # Hash Tag? Twitter was born. The people using twitter liked it but wished it could be easier to find old or similar tweets on specific topics. The people invented # Hash Tagging. When tweeting about a #TopicOfInterest, you include the hash tag in your tweet so others can find common tweets. #FollowFridays or #FF is a tag used by people to promote great people on twitter to follow. Yes, this is almost always done on Fridays. There is a # Hash day for each day of the week! ;)

  9. Twitter Jargon: Tweet: 140 character message. Also considered a micro blog. Most keep tweets to 120 characters so they can be RT’d. ReTweet: You loved someone’s tweet. You copy and paste but add RT and the @ symbol in front of the person’s name to make sure they get the credit for the tweet. Direct Message: On your profile, right hand side, you will see DM. This is where you can Direct Message someone in a private forum. *Be sure you are in DM when sending… looks like and feels like the twin brother – Message which is very public. Tweeple: People on Twitter. TweetUp: A meet up in real life of fellow Tweeple. Follower: Someone who sees your tweets in their tweet stream. Favorite: A gold star on a tweet that allows you to save that tweet in your profile. Twit Back: This is the background of your profile page. You can use the Twitter standard or find a freebie online or pay @stevesaylor $50 to make you one.
