Rag Rug. Cut your back fabric 18” by 30”. Cut your fusible fleece 16” by 28”. Cut your strips to be 18” long. Make them all different widths. Sew your strips together with a ¼” seam along the 18” length until you have a rectangle that is 30” long. Press the seams down to one side.

  2. Cut your back fabric 18” by 30”. • Cut your fusible fleece 16” by 28”. • Cut your strips to be 18” long. Make them all different widths.

  3. Sew your strips together with a ¼” seam along the 18” length until you have a rectangle that is 30” long. • Press the seams down to one side.

  4. Center your fusible fleece onto the wrong side of your back fabric. There should be 1” of space on each side. Iron them together.

  5. Lay the strips on top of the back fabric. Make sure the edges are even and pin in place. • Topstitch ¼” along the seams on one side. • Sew a 1” seam around the perimeter.

  6. Cut evenly around the edges. Make sure not to cut the stitches.

  7. Your rug is done!
