  1. RAG Skydive Information Session Wednesday 16th November

  2. Dates:Friday 23rd March ORSaturday 24th March

  3. Location: North London Parachute Centre, March, Cambridgeshire. Transport will be provided. Company: The North London Parachute Centre Ltd- www.ukskydiving.com

  4. Costs: • £50 non-refundable deposit payable on sign-up. • £155 cost for the Skydive- this includes personal insurance for the skydive, equipment hire and instructor costs. This money is deducted from the sponsorship money raised. • Petrol donation to RAG will also be payable- more information about this will be available when details have been finalised.

  5. The minimum amount of money you need to raise is £310. As long as you raise the minimum sponsorship amount, or more, of £310 you will be able to jump for ‘free’- however, if you fail to do so, you will have to cover any remaining costs yourself. If you were to raise the minimum sponsorship amount, then your chosen charity will receive £155.

  6. Money raised: THE CHARITY YOU RAISE MONEY FOR IS UP TO YOU. RAG will combine any money you raise in cash, and online, and send it all off to your chosen charity. All you need to do is bring us all the money by the date specified after the Skydive and bring a printout of your justgiving.com page- we will sort the rest out. Once we’ve received confirmation from the charity that they have received the money, we’ll let you know and pass on any certificates or documents received from them as proof that the money has been sent off.

  7. Online dontaions: Justgiving.com:This is a useful website which allows you to raise money online by creating a fundraising page which you can send to family and friends for them to donate. All money donated online is sent straight to RAG and we will keep a record of how much you have raised before sending it off to the charity. After you have signed up we will send you an email with instructions of how to set this up.

  8. Health considerations: If you suffer from any of the following:epilepsy, fits, severe head injury, recurrent blackouts or giddiness, disease of the brain or nervous system, high blood pressure, heart of lung disease, dislocated shoulder, recurrent weakness or dislocation of any limb, diabetes, metal illness or drug/alcohol addictionor are 40 years of age or over, you will need to get the declaration of fitness form signed and stamped by your doctor and bring it with you on the day.

  9. Weight considerations: The maximum weight limit for Tandem skydiving is strictly 16 stone (clothed with shoes).  However, anyone over 15 stone (clothed withshoes) will be asked to pay an extra £10 to cover the additional work load for the instructor.  Reasonable height to weight ratios and levels of fitness also apply -please note these are a little more stringent for women weighing over 13 stone.

  10. On the day: Detailed instructions of what you need to bring and do will be emailed to you closer to the day but be advised that it is recommended that you prepare yourself to be at the airfield all day. Any changes in the weather can affect whether any of the skydives need to be put on hold for a few hours so bring something to keep you occupied. Spectators are welcome as long as there is room and providing they pay a small fee to help cover the cost of transportation.

  11. What you need to do now: • Complete and hand in the Skydiving registration form (attached to this email), along with your £50 deposit no later than 01/12/2011 • Begin collecting your sponsorship money from friends and family as early as possible to give you the best chance of raising lots of money for your chosen charity.
