What is Electronic Media ? “Electronic Media” are those communication mediums which are based on electronic or electro-mechanical means of production and most often distinguished from print media. The primary electronic media sources familiar to the general public worldwide include radio, sound recordings, television, video recording and streaming internet content.

  4. Why Electronic Media ? The electronic media have four basic functions; • To inform. • To entertain. • To educate. • To influence the public opinion. So, in order to fulfil these basic needs and necessities we need electronic media.

  5. Electronic Media and its Impact on Culture Television, movies and the Internet are having an effect on mankind that would have been unimaginable even a century ago. The media both print and electronic shape our lives and our minds in ways that most fail to realize, and with sobering effects! Electronic media plays an indispensable role in the modern world. Television, radio, movies, the Internet and print extend their influence upon our culture, our behaviour and our brain.

The Bright Side Since the media plays an important role in shaping pubic opinion, they have great potential to facilitate the dialogue among civilizations by expanding the public’s knowledge about the belief systems and the practices of other cultural, religious, ethnic, and social groups. This potential, however, is not automatically realized, as the media operate under various constraints.

  7. Impacts On Pakistani Culture Well as we all know the electronic media is quite common in Pakistan. Our people spend ( waste ! ) most for the precious time in electronic media . Such as, Facebook, Twitter , Other Social Medias, TV , Movies and Internet etc. Especially our young generation waste their time on this use less thing and attend this termite instead of attending their studies. So, the electronic media has a major impact on our new generation, and eventually our culture.

  8. Impacts on Pakistani Culture continued… The Electronic Media has a major impact on the culture of Pakistan. As we all know what we watch on the T.V’s etc. The Electronic media has changed out nation, it is forcing us to leave our ideology and culture. And it is forcing us to develop the culture and the ideology of other Non-Muslim nations. It is poisoning the mind of our young generation.

  9. Electronic Media As A Weapon Electronic Media is also being used as a social weapon. Many countries are planning to use Electronic Media to take down their enemy countries. They basically try to feed their culture in our minds. And when their done with poisoning our minded with their culture and making our minds immoral, they have succeeded in their mission. So Basically Electronic Media is a very power full thing in taking a culture , nation to its heights or taking it down.
