Advice from Athena Athena, disguised as Mentes, a family friend, advises Telemachos to find his father Gives information to Telemachos about his father Telemachos is inspired and determined to take action and find his father Tells Telemachos to call a meeting to address his problems Athena, a goddess, interferes through various disguises in order to help Telemachos

Meeting In Market-place Summons Council to discuss his “two troubles” Telemachos wants the suitors to leave his fathers home Telemachos is telling the people to be ashamed about what is happening in his home People find out about Penelope’s plan to delay the suitors and the town Telemachos wants a ship to use on his trip to find Odysseus

  5. Gathering a Ship and Sailors Athena disguised as Mentor finds a ship Athena disguised as Telemachos finds the best sailors Telemachos is prepared to travel to find his father

Stories from Sparta Odysseus dressed up as a beggar goes into Troy and learns many secrets Telemachus finds out that Odysseus is trapped on Ogygia with Calypso Telemachus and Pisistratus return to Pylos to set sail for Ithaca Telemachus discovers the real greatness of his father through stories and others’ experiences Telemachus learns of his father’s “great gambit” in the Trojan horse which eventually lead to a Greek victory over Troy.

  7. Suitors and the Secret Plan Penelope is distraught the men wait for Telemachos in the harbor between Ithaca and Samos, Asteris Antinoosand Eurymachos plan to ambush Telemachos when he comes back from his journey
