  4. Enrichment – Every other Day Olweus Anti-Bullying Lessons (biweekly) Map Testing and other assessments Reinforce Core Curriculum

Grades – www.oceancityschools.org Guardian Home Access Student’s Log-in Name Password00 • A period built into the students’ schedules every other day (opposite of Spanish) • Assists in the BOE Policy and soon to be state Policy/Regulation of PersonalzedLearning Environments • Allows for targeted, data-driven assistance, enrichment, etc. within the school day (instead of just after school) • Allows for more intervention for struggling students • Allows us to also, on occasion, have various activities (see below) that do not cut into academic time • Olweus Anti-Bullying Lessons biweekly • MAP testing and other assessments • Social and organizational skills • Career education • 1 on 1 meetings with staff…teachers, guidance, administrators, etc. • In the future…other pullouts will be scheduled on various days during this time (band, speech, PT)

Special Recognition • Distinguished Honors – A student must have A’s in all subject areas except one, but that subject area cannot receive a grade lower than a B. • Honors – All A’s and B’s with at least two A’s • Team Raider – All A’s, B’s, C’s. Good attendance record and no behavior problems. Must be involved in at least one activity.

  10. Vacations • Prior to a vacation, I will provide a rough estimate of where we will be when they return. • When the student returns, they will be shown exactly where we are at. • Please make every effort to catch up as quickly as possible.

  11. Absences • If your child will be absent, please call Mrs. Brown at the guidance office (399-5611) to request the work that they missed that day. Missed work should be turned in within a couple days of the student’s return.

  14. Science • Students will read from the Scott Foresman textbook and complete various activities in science packets. Videos will be used. • Grade – Science packets, computer projects, quizzes, tests

  15. Math8:20-9:50 or 11:05-12:35 • Homework – Study Link book should be kept in the bookbag, Homework is worth two points a night.   16. Math MessageWeekday Workout • Math Message 1.7 • Draw and label point A on a sheet of paper. Draw 20 more points, each 2 centimeters from point A, in all directions. Use your geometry tool or a ruler to do this. • Story Problems • A classroom has 6 tables. Four of the tables have 5 students sitting at each. The rest of the tables have 4 students sitting at each. How many students are in the classroom?

  17. Math Grade • Quizzes • Journal will be graded – Students will receive 100% if all work is completed and corrected. • Tests - Use the math pretest to help you study. Tests will be similar to the pretests. • Projects • Story Problem Booklets

  19. Fourth Grade Clubs • After School Sports (Spring) • Art Club • Change A Life Club • Chess Club, • Chorus • Math Club • FCA • Peanut Butter and Jelly Club • School Newspaper • Technology Club All clubs start at 2:20. The activity bus leaves at 3:30.
