  10. Key Facts for Bangladesh Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Responsible for all Telecom related Standardization & Quality assurance. BTRC has all sorts of enforcement and regulatory authorization. Bangladesh Standardization & Testing Institution (BSTI) Responsible for certain areas of country specific Standardization issue in collaboration with BTRC. Telecom and ICT sector is often ignored from BSTI agenda. Two Governmental Bodies responsible for Telecom Standardization in Bangladesh

  21. Position of Bangladesh Bangladesh actively supporting and would support ITU regarding BSG & other programmes regarding action plan of resolution 44 (WTSA 2008, Johannesburg)

Conclusion & Recommendation • Including the human resource option from developing countries in regional testing labs • Integrating the concerns of developing countries regarding Standardisation & addressing through a focus group • Having a separate event for developing countries to follow up their advancement along the ‘Ladder’ (it may be a back-to-back event with TSAG)
